AYRES, TIERONE BANK EARN PAPER
ANVIL AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
TierOne Bank has been named a 2002
Paper Anvil Award of Excellence winner by the Public Relations
Society of America Nebraska Chapter. TierOne and its public
relations firm Ayres Kahler were recognized for successfully
communicating the bank's name change from First Federal
Lincoln Bank in February 2002.
TierOne's name change was the third
for the Lincoln, Neb.-based bank in its 95-year history.
Due to regional and national expansion, First Federal Lincoln
Bank had outgrown its name and looked for something new
to position the bank for the future.
With assets of more than $1.8 billion,
TierOne Bank currently operates a branch network of 58 offices
in 41 communities located in Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska.
It also offers home loans on a national level. In October,
parent holding company TierOne Corporation began trading
on the Nasdaq under the symbol 'TONE.'
Ayres Kahler is a brand navigation
firm with offices in Omaha and Lincoln. Formed through a
merger of Ayres Advertising and Kahler & Company, the agency
guides brands for a diverse roster of local, regional, national
and global companies.
PRSA Nebraska's Paper Anvil Award
program annually recognizes outstanding work in the field
of public relations.
