AYRES KAHLER EXECUTIVE TEACHES MEDIA COURSE AT UNL

On rare occasion, students at the college level will have the opportunity to learn their chosen craft from masters of their craft.  Karen Brokaw, senior vice president of media and promotions for Ayres Kahler, has been named adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln School of Journalism.

Brokaw, who earlier this year was presented with the Silver Medal Award for her outstanding contributions to the advertising profession and her community at the 2006 ADDY Awards in Omaha, will teach media buying during the fall semester at the University.

Brokaw graduated from UNL with a degree in journalism.  She supervises media and promotions for a wide range of clients, including Nebraska Lottery, Nebraska Soybean Board, CLAAS of America, Hoegemeyer Hybrids and Valmont Irrigation.

Brokaw began her career in television and radio and has been with Ayres Kahler Brand Navigation, with offices in Lincoln and Omaha, for 20 years.  She and her husband Dan and their two sons live in Lincoln.
