The history of Ayres Kahler is a tale
of two cities ... and two agencies. The company is a dynamic
combination of two of Nebraska's most respected and successful
brand communications firms, Ayres Advertising/Marketing
in Lincoln, and Kahler & Company in Omaha.
Looking back, it was only a matter of
time before our firms merged. Both were started by colorful,
energetic, advertising executives who understood branding
long before it even had a name.
In 1946, in Lincoln, Neb., Warren Joyce
Ayres opened Ayres Advertising, Inc. Ayres had one credo:
"The person with the best ideas ... wins." That credo is
even truer today, and it's the reason why Ayres Kahler can
effectively navigate your company's brand in the turbulent
economic times of today.
Kahler & Company began in 1935 as E. Louis
Holland Advertising. After several name and ownership changes,
Jeff Kahler joined Swanson Rollheiser Holland in 1983 and
became the chairman and CEO in 1985 of Rollheiser Holland
Kahler. The firm became Kahler & Company in January 1996.
From the beginning, both firms quickly
learned that the key to successfully serving clients was
to help them grow, guide, refine and protect their brand
on a daily basis -- in essence, Brand Navigation, our company
position and philosophy. When Ayres President Mick Sibbel
and Kahler CEO Jeff Kahler ran into each other at lunch
in early 2002, they discussed this unique philosophy and
knew that joining forces was inevitable.
Ayres Advertising/Marketing of Lincoln
and Kahler & Company of Omaha merged on July 1, 2002. The
merger gives Ayres Kahler and its clients access to more
services and capabilities than ever before.
